We have been praying for some time that the Lord would raise up the next generation of leaders in our church, and this morning seems to be the beginning of God’s provision for us. Please join us in thanking the Lord for the privilege of receiving John Seip as a new elder here at New Hope. Please also consider whether there might be someone else in the congregation whom God is calling forth to serve in this way. Please continue to pray that God will raise up a new generation of leadership, and that all of His people would come forward to serve willingly according to their gifts. Surely the Lord answers prayer!
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. (John 15:7 ESV)
And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will he hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him. (1 John 5:14,15 ESV)
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. (Mark11:24 ESV)
