This is a time of unprecedented upheaval and anxiety for children and their parents; our hope is to communicate the message that God is on His throne and that His rule and care extend to us. For Bible lessons, we’ll be using the beautifully illustrated systematic theology book for children, The Ology, by Marty Machowski, which presents in simple language some very profound truths—that God is eternal, that He is Triune, that He is all-powerful and all-knowing, and that He is in control—while also showing the perfection of His love, demonstrated to us in Christ. Art projects will focus on the “sublime” in nature—the ways God shows us His majesty and greatness in creation (e.g., great sea creatures, the “deeps,” storms, mountains, towering trees).
