The Committee on Home Missions and Church Extension (CHMCE) supports congregations and presbyteries of the OPC as they seek to make new disciples and establish new congregations. At the end of 2024, the OPC had three hundred established congregations and forty-one mission works: 12% of our churches are mission works!
OPC home missions works at three levels. Locally, church-planting evangelists seek to reach the lost, teach the “found,” and organize fruitful congregations. At the presbytery level, regional home missionaries mentor church planters and pioneer new opportunities. Denominationally, CHMCE and its general secretaries provide leadership, counsel, training, and financing, and read more details in the PDF below.
