Praising God in the Waiting

Written By Trish Duggan

God is so good! Your prayers, support, and acts of kindness have meant more than words can express. We’re trusting in the Lord’s perfect timing and provision—and we believe He has a new liver for Tim. We continue to wait in faith.

We’re thankful to share a few updates. First, regarding the search for a donor: We’ve heard some unconfirmed numbers of individuals who have been screened. Due to strict HIPAA privacy laws, we don’t know who or how many have taken this step. However, we’ve learned that the hospital typically works with two potential donors at a time, and some have been placed in a queue as others are being processed. The process is careful, often lengthy, and complex—but we’re incredibly grateful for every person willing to start it. Praise the Lord with us for this merciful hope.

Tim’s condition remains extremely serious and has become even more complicated. As shared last week, several tests revealed that bile is leaking from his liver into his diaphragm, making it difficult to breathe and causing a persistent cough. He is now under the care of multiple specialists, adding further challenges to his medical management.

Though he continues to work when he doesn’t have appointments, Tim is often exhausted. We’re thankful he’s been able to attend worship recently and still enjoys time with his children, though with limited energy.

The deacons of Tim’s home church are working closely with him and his wife, Geneva, to support any financial needs that may arise. Should a specific need or way to help financially become clear, we’ll be sure to share it.

Thank you again for standing with Tim through prayer, encouragement, and love. We promise to keep you updated—especially when a donor is found.

Keep praying. Keep sharing. Keep trusting in our good and faithful God
