Art Camp Update Day 1 (2019)
What a great start to Art Camp! We had a full contingent of children arrive this morning bright and early, ready for the start of a big week. At 8:45am we entered the sanctuary together, and we learned about the Sermon on the Mount. In particular, we learned that God doesn’t want His little children to worry. (We’ll be learning more about that as the week goes on). We also began to learn a beautiful hymn—“Children of the Heavenly Father.”

The kids are divided into 3 groups—Puffins, Sandpipers, and Pelicans—and each group spent time on 3 different activities: learning about prayer from Mrs. Taylor, working on a loom (the way a weaver bird builds his nest), and making decorative flowers with painted pinecones!

The children were happy, eager, and well-behaved; it looks like we’re off to great start!
