Diligent, fervent prayer is commanded by God and is a means of fellowship
and communion with Him; it is also a means of receiving from Him.
If you abide in me,and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish,
and it will be done for you. (John 15:7 ESV)
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it,
and it will be yours. (Mark 11:24 ESV)
But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret.
