How can we know that the Bible is true?

First, it tells us that it is the Word of God, Who is Truth and Who cannot lie.
Second, Jesus Himself often quotes the Bible and tells us that “the Scriptures cannot be broken.”
Third, we have 66 books, written by many different authors,
across different centuries and in different cultures, and in different
styles, but all of the books of the Bible contain the same basic message,
without contradiction (which is unheard of in our world today).
Fourth, that message is a message that man     himself would never invent: that we are guilty and accountable to a holy God, and that only He can save us from our sin.
Fifth, we have prophecies in the Bible that were fulfilled hundreds (or sometimes thousands) of years later.
Sixth, we have the testimony of God¹s people, who have always recognized the scriptures to be
the Word of God throughout all of history. Finally, we have the testimony of God’s Spirit Himself, Who confirms with our spirit that the Bible is in fact the Word of God. These and many other reasons confirm what the scriptures tell us: “The sum of your word is truth, and every one of your righteous rules endures forever” (Psalm 119:160 ESV).
