How do you apply this Gospel to your life?

“The Word became flesh; the same suffered in the flesh; rose again; went up to heaven in the same body, sat down gloriously at the right hand of the Father, is coming in the same body in glory to judge the quick and the dead.”  Epiphanius’ “Second Creed” (A.D. 374)

Jesus Died (Action)—What action do I need to take? What do I need to take to the cross? What do I need to repent of?

Jesus is Buried (Evidence of His Death) —How will I demonstrate that I have laid it down? How will I get rid of it? How will I change?

Jesus Rose Again (Action)—How should I act now? What does newness of life look like for me?

Jesus Appeared to His Disciples (Evidence of His Resurrection)—How will I demonstrate that I have changed?

“Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you….For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised  on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. (1 Corinthians 15:1-8)
