If salvation is free, why do we need to obey God’s law?
1. Paul says that we do not nullify the law (Romans 3:31)
2. Jesus says that not one stroke of the law has passed away (Matthew 5:17-19)
3.The law is good, if used lawfully. (Romans 7:12, 1 Timothy 1:8)
4. We are under Christ’s law (1 Corinthians 9:21)
5. We are saved so that the law will be fulfilled in us (Romans 8:4)
6. We obey God’s law out of love, gratitude, and reverence for the Lord. (John 14:!5)
“If you love Me, you’ll do what I command.” (John 14:!5)
