This morning we introduced the First Catechism in worship, beginning with the first five questions and answers, which we recited responsively:
Q1. Who made you?
- God
Q2. What else did God make?
- God made all things.
Q3. Why did God make you and all things?
- For His own glory.
Q4. How can you glorify God?
- By loving Him and doing what He commands.
Q5. Why are you to glorify God?
- Because He made me and takes care of me.
We hope that our use of the First Catechism in worship will not only enhance your worship experience but will also reinforce and encourage your personal study of the catechism and your teaching of it to your children and grandchildren.
