“The Path of a Peacemaker” Pledge
“A people reconciled to God through the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Jesus’ death, burial, resurrection, and appearance) (1 Cor. 15:1-8),
we believe that we can respond to unhealthy tension in a just, merciful, and humble way (Mic. 6:8).
We believe by encountering God’s presence, understanding God’s character, and remembering our identity in Christ Jesus, we will be able to walk in His scriptural calling as far as it depends on us to live in peace with others (Rom. 12:18).
We also believe that the Holy Spirit can transform unhealthy tension to healthy tension through understanding and living out God’s word (Rom. 12:2).
Therefore, in response to God’s love and in reliance on His grace, we commit to walking in the Path of a Peacemaker.”
