Why pray? Why bother to pray, especially when it may seem like no one hears? There are many reasons to pray.

There are many reasons to pray–some of which we hope to consider in the weeks to come–but the first and most obvious reason is this: the Lord has commanded
diligent, fervent, persevering prayer.

Pray without ceasing…. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 ESV

Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. Colossians 4:2 ESV

And [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart. Luke 18:1 ESV
